Versatile Fabric Door Model
The Speed-Master® 1600 XL is the ideal product for applications where the opening is over 14'w x 16'h, but the budget doesn't allow for the expense of moving to a Speed-Master® 2600 L.
Sectional Panel with Optional Windlocks
The Speed-Master® 1600 XL is uniquely designed for large exterior or interior door openings. 1/16" thick, 58 oz. vinyl panels are connected with aluminum windbars for superior windload capacity up to 90 mph (static). An aluminum bottom bar with breakaway tabs breaks out of the guide tracks if accidental impact occurs. Panel windlocks are optional for added wind pressure resistance.
Low-Profile Guide Tracks and Built-In Light Grid
Standard on the Speed-Master® 1600 XL is a light grid built into the guide tracks up to 8'0" high. Completely free of coil cords, the light grid provides a thorough wall of protection for personnel and equipment at the doorway, as compared to other doors that use only photocells. Full perimeter draft seals provide dust and odor containment, as well as general environmental control.
Smart Start™ NXT NEMA 4X Standard
Our exclusive Smart Start™ NXT NEMA 4X, plug-and-play style control box is standard and includes factory-installed plugs located on electric connectors to simplify installation. Available with 208 v to 575 v / 3-phase Hz power choices. (Effective April 1, 2017)

Panel
58 oz. vinyl panels are connected with heavy duty aluminum hinge profiles. Optional: Windlocks, factory installed on ends of windbars.

Two, full-width vision areas made of high quality PVC are standard. Consult factory for additional vision areas.

Guide Tracks
Standard:
Heavy-duty, 12 gauge, galvanized steel with removable front covers. Guide tracks are 7-1/4" wide x 4-1/4" deep with an 8'0" high light grid built in.
Direct-Drive Motor
Compact, self-monitoring direct-drive motor has a patented built-in safety brake and is maintenance free.
